Kershaw knives are known for their extremely sharp tips and quality steel. The actions on some Kershaw knives are even “speedsafe”, or “assisted opening”, which means there is a spring or torsion bar that assists with the action of the blade opening. The lead knife designer at Kershaw, Ken Onion, has won numerous awards for his designs with the company since 1998, and is responsible for the innovative speedsafe design. Kershaw has also collaborated with custom knife makers such as Grant and Gavin Hawk, Frank Centofante, and Ernest Emerson, with whom Kershaw is partnering to produce an automatic version of Emerson’s Commander. |
